Description

Shiitake 75  strain of Lentinula edodes is a legendary strain rumored to have started from a clone by RogerRabbit of (Shroomery.org fame). This culture has been both traded and sold for many years which means it has been vetted and become trusted by many growers – from hobbyists to professionals.

Whereas some Shiitake strains are either cold or heat tolerant, this strain performs reliably across a wide range of temperatures, is highly resistant to contamination and is well-suited to a wider range of humidity (60 – 70% RH) making it quite performant in outdoor log & stump cultures.

Primordia formation is induced though some form of shock, usually a dramatic drop in temperature (cold shock) to simulate the natural climate w/ lower night-time temperatures or by physically “thumping” or “spanking” the blocks or logs to simulate a tree falling.
